We invite you to explore the Guide on the development of green infrastructure in the Carpathians, elaborated and published as one of the main outputs of our LIFE project.

 The Guide consists of three parts:

  • Green and blue infrastructure - introduction - explaining what is green and blue infrastructure, what is their role for nature and man, or what socio-economic benefits they may provide;
  • Development of green and blue infrastructure in the Carpathians - containing the characteristics and diagnosis of the natural space of the Polish part of the Carpathians, as well as a closer look at the various forms of human activity shaping green and blue infrastructure in this region;
  • Local initiatives for the development of green and blue infrastructure - presenting, inter alia, good practices, legal environment and geoinformation tools helpful in proper management of green and blue infrastructure.

The publication is meant to serve everyone interested in the subject of green and blue infrastructure and its proper management for the purpose of preserving the natural and landscape values and of supporting sustainable regional development – including primarily employees of municipal offices, local action groups, as well as other institutions and organizations having an impact on the protection and proper use of biological and landscape diversity and local spatial policy in the Polish part of the Carpathians.

The on-line version of the publication is available under the button "GUIDE on the development of green infrastructure in the Carpathians" on the right side of the screen.

It is also available for download as files in formats supported by e-book readers (EPUB, MOBI and PDF) HERE.

We cordially invite you to explore the Guide, hoping that it will prove useful in your activities undertaken in the name of caring for our common good: the Carpathian space.
